The Heavy Pets and Roosevelt Collier Band are teaming up for their first ever co-billed run dubbed the Free Energy Tour. The two Florida-based powerhouse live acts have long collaborated, but they have never joined forces for such a combined concerted effort. The run brings them to four familiar Sunshine State cities – Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa and Boca Raton – while also promising to be the first leg of a larger dual effort with plans to continue the Free Energy Tour elsewhere around the U.S. in the late Summer and Fall.
The bands and their players have a deep history together, backing each other at various times on the road and appearing on each other’s records as Roosevelt did on the Pets’ most recent release Strawberry Mansion (2018). “This has been a long time coming,” says THP guitarist and vocalist Jeff Lloyd. “We have talked about this for a long time and are excited to finally be doing a cohesive run together and starting off right here in Florida is just perfect. Roosevelt has that magic to bring out the best in us, and I look forward to a lot of intra-band jamming and some really great moments.” Roosevelt Collier adds “We plan on spreading as much free energy (good energy) through music as we can with everyone we come in contact with!”
